Plagiarism Policy
SAPS maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin software before being considered for peer review.
Plagiarism, including duplication of text, data, images, or ideas without proper citation, whether intentional or unintentional, is a serious violation of academic integrity.
Manuscripts found to contain plagiarized content will be:
• Rejected immediately if plagiarism is detected before publication
• Retracted if plagiarism is discovered after publication
• Reported to the author’s institution or funding agency, as appropriate
Authors are strongly encouraged to ensure originality in their work and cite all sources appropriately.
SAPS adheres to the guidelines and best practices outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling cases of plagiarism and misconduct.
