Unethical Authorship

SAPS has a zero-tolerance policy toward unethical authorship practices such as:
Guest authorship: Adding a person who made no significant contributions for the sake of prestige or affiliation.
Gift authorship: Listing someone as an author out of respect, seniority, or obligation without significant contribution.
Ghost authorship: Excluding individuals who made significant contributions from the author list.

Such practices may result in manuscript rejection, retraction, and reporting to the authors' institutions.

Corresponding Author Responsibilities
The corresponding author is responsible for:
• Ensuring that all listed authors meet authorship criteria
• Managing all communication between the journal and all co-authors
• Ensuring all authors have approved the final version of the manuscript
• Handling revisions and responding to reviewer/editor comments on behalf of all authors
